“We don’t know how to release them, and they become supressed. I personally spent decades trying to run away from these challenging emotions. And then as I entered a yoga practice, both as a student and as a teacher, it really was a place for me to recognize, oh, these are suppressed within me. The body remembers this pain and this trauma. So what I wanted to develop was a practice ... that took the pain and channeled it through in empowering ways.” —Paul Denniston, from the Spirituality & Health Podcast
