Get a boost of energy with this Ayurveda inspired audio meditation.

According to the ancient medical sister science to yoga called Ayurveda, all foods, people, environments, and practices are related to the elements of air (vata), fire (pitta), earth (kapha), or some combination thereof. Our illnesses, aches, pains, and bad moods can be related to an imbalance of one or more of these elements, and we can bring ourselves back to balance by using an opposing element. When we have too much earth (kapha) bringing us out of balance, we can feel sluggish, tired, depressed, foggy, and lethargic—like mud on a rainy day. We can use the element of fire to warm up our circulation, energize us, lighten our moods, let go of emotional stuck-ness, and clarify our foggy minds. This meditation is best done first thing in the morning or anytime you need a boost—not right before you’re about to go to sleep at night!
