Detox in Four Steps

Detox in Four Steps

Followers of natural medicine believe that most of our health problems stem from dietary and environmental toxins. These chemicals can cause blood clots, organ failures, and inflammation, lowering our energy levels and disease resistance. But with the right foods, exercise, and natural remedies, you can keep your body toxin-free.

These health problems can be caused by many different toxins, acting alone or reacting with others. It isn’t necessary, though, to understand every toxin and its effects. In fact, all toxins can be put into one of two groups: colloidal and crystalline wastes.

Colloidal Wastes

Colloidal wastes such as phlegm are responsible for illnesses like bronchitis, oozing eczemas, acne, varicose veins, and cellulite, and are eliminated by the liver, the sebaceous glands, and the respiratory tract.

Crystalline Wastes

Crystals such as grit in the joints and acids which make us lose our acid-alkaline balance trigger ailments such as dry eczemas, itching, arthritis, tendonitis and neuritis. Crystals are eliminated by the kidneys and the sweat glands.

When you identify which of the two kinds of toxins your organs are affected with, you can pick the best treatment. If you’re suffering from crystal buildup, for example, you should stimulate your kidneys by drinking more fluids. Don’t encourage bile production though; crystals cannot be removed by the liver. One way to avoid the problems caused by toxins is to detox your body on a regular basis.

Benefits of Detox

Detox therapy can clean the “grit” from your “organic motor,” healing and fending off diseases while lowering your risk for infections. It also helps you to maintain high energy levels and a healthy weight, raising the quality and length of your life.

The best way to cleanse your body is to stimulate your liver, intestines, kidneys, skin, and lungs. These organs remove waste from your blood. Taking care of these organs will help rid the body of many wastes, bringing it back to health. Here are some steps to start.

Four Steps to Detox

  1. Drink 2.5 to 3 litres of water or herbal tea (without sweetener) a day to carry the toxins out of your body
  2. Drink an infusion of dandelion or rosemary tea three times a day to stimulate your liver to eliminate the colloidal toxins
  3. Drink an infusion of heather or bearberry tea three times a day to stimulate your kidneys to eliminate crystalline toxins
  4. Jog one hour three times a week to sweat your crystal toxins out

Where Toxins are Found:

If you want to be toxin-free, go straight to the source. Toxins are often found in food: carbohydrates and fats produce colloidal wastes, and proteins and acids produce crystalline wastes. By cutting back on certain foods, you can reduce your risk for toxic buildup. Asthmatics, for instance, should reduce their fat and carb intake, while rheumatics should limit protein and acidifying foods.

The Takeaway

By eating well, exercising, and detoxing on a regular basis, you can stay clean and healthy. Get the most out of your body by keeping it toxin-free.
