Do you ever have those kinds of days where every glass you touch smashes, you are constantly stubbing your toe, and you find yourself covered with mysterious bumps and bruises? Some of us are clumsier than others, but we also go through clumsy phases from time to time. There might even be a spiritual meaning to your clumsiness.
When you are constantly bumping into things, your body might be asking you to slow down and think about where you are going. Ask yourself these questions:
The feet and legs are connected to muladhara chakra, or the root chakra. This is the energy center located at the perineum and the base of the spine. Its energy runs down the legs into the earth. The energy center is connected to feelings of safety, security, and physical location—where our roots are. It is also connected to family ties and culture—our metaphorical roots. If a lot of your bumps and bruises are happening below the belt, ask yourself these questions:
General stress can sometimes throw us off balance physically. Too much adrenaline and cortisol, especially after a while, can separate us from our proprioception, our sense of where our body is in space. Depression or numbness can also do this—when we’re not fully connected to our bodies, we don’t have a good sense of where we are in space. Ask these questions:
