Podcast: Laurie Sue Brockway, Put Your Wisdom to Work

What does it mean to be an interfaith minister, and in what ways have our individual spiritual paths changed since the pandemic? Minister and journalist Laurie Sue Brockway explains.

Rev. Laurie Sue Brockway is an interfaith minister, journalist, and author of 25 books on spirituality. She has served couples and families of all faiths as a wedding officiant, and she has written extensively on goddess history and spirituality, as well as interfaith and multicultural traditions. Her books include The Goddess Pages, Lakshmi Magic, and Your Interfaith Wedding.

As a contributor to Spirituality+Health, she aims to write self-help content that helps people feel more empowered and hopeful. Some of her articles encourage a deeper connection to Divine wisdom through ritual, ceremony, prayer, and creative spiritual practices. She also reports on soulful and engaging ways to find greater purpose as we age.

Her latest article in the March/April 2023 issue is "Put Your Wisdom to Work," about how people in their wisdom years are finding their higher purpose by sharing their spiritual gifts, interests, and skills. Her website is revlauriesue.com.

“Prior to the pandemic, [we were] not giving as much thought to life or how we are living life. And having a little space out of the craziness of the world allowed us to get a new perspective.”

In this episode, Laurie Sue and Rabbi Rami talk about interfaith ministry, aging, and discovering spirituality after the pandemic.
