How to Create a Crystal Pendulum Wheel Tailored to Any Question

Pendulum wheels are “wheels of possibilities.” Discover how a home-crafted crystal pendulum wheel can help you answer spiritual questions.

Do you remember those paper fortune tellers that children would create on the playground? I loved them and found them to be such a fun way to get answers to my questions.

My methods have evolved. Today, one of my favorite ways of receiving guidance from the universe for any question is working with a crystal pendulum wheel.

What follows is my step-by-step process to create a crystal pendulum wheel. It’s a fun and creative way to receive guidance that’s tailored to any question you might have.

What Is a Crystal Pendulum Wheel?

A crystal pendulum wheel is a tool that uses a crystal pendulum hung above a wheel filled with various possibilities. The wheel is used to receive guidance from the universe. The wheel is crafted as either a half-circle or full circle divided into slices, each containing possible responses to a question. After posing your question and clarifying your intentions, you hold the end of the pendulum chain in your hand and allow the pendulum to swing in one direction. The answer to your question is determined by where the pendulum swings.

A crystal pendulum wheel is helpful for those decisions that have multiple possible answers. They are great to work with when you are unsure about which direction to take in life.

Why Create Your Own Crystal Pendulum Wheel?

Traditional pendulum wheels that you can buy online or in New Age shops typically come with limited responses of yes, no, and maybe, and if you have a simple question that requires those responses, then these may work for you.

However, not everything is always so straightforward. Maybe the answer to your question is that you need to move forward but pay attention to the details, or perhaps you need to wait before taking action because not everything is in place yet. In this case, yes and no answers would only provide partial responses to your question.

Making your own crystal pendulum wheel allows you to customize it to the possibilities unique to your question and situation. And in turn, when you connect with your crystal pendulum and wheel, you will receive guidance tailored to your specific question.

Crystal Pendulum Wheel supplies

You will need:

  • A question, and multiple possible answers to that question
  • Two sheets of blank paper
  • A pen and/or colored pencils
  • A ruler
  • Scissors

Step 1: To create a crystal pendulum wheel, you’ll first need to clarify the question you intend to ask.

For this example, I chose the question, “Is starting my new creative project right for me at this time?”

Step 2: Take the first piece of blank paper and a pen and write down all the possible answers to your question.

When it comes to the possible responses to your question, you can be as general or as specific as you want. There are no limits to what’s possible.

The possible answers to my question about whether it’s the right time to begin my creative project could be:

  • Yes! Take action; move forward with confidence.
  • No. Your creative power is needed elsewhere at this time.
  • Soon. This is a time for stillness. Go within and trust you will be guided to the best approach for your project.
  • This is a time of releasing; let go of anything no longer serving you and tie up any loose ends before moving forward.
  • Tread lightly with care; the details are important. Take it one step at a time.
  • Not everything is in place yet. Take a step back and wait for direction on next steps.
  • A change of direction is needed; this is not the right creative project for you at this time.

Step 3: Draw a half circle on the second piece of blank paper.

You can draw a half-circle by hand, trace a circular object, or even create a half-circle on your computer and print it out. Whatever works best for you! Just know that the circle does not need to be perfect.

Step 4: Divide your half-circle into slices.

First, draw a tiny half-circle at the center of the base of the larger half-circle. Next, with your ruler, divide your half-circle into the necessary number of slices. Connect your slices to the smaller half-circle.

The number of slices you create depends on the number of possible answers you wrote down. I have seven possible answers in my example, so I created a wheel with seven slices.

Remember: your pendulum wheel does not have to be perfect. Ideally, your slices need to be around the same size so you have enough space to write in them.

Step 5: Fill your crystal pendulum wheel with the possible answers to your question.

With your pen, add one possible response per slice. And you can get creative with this process! If you feel inclined, you can even draw and color the individual slices. For my example, I stuck with a pen to keep it clean and simple.

Step 6: With your scissors, cut out your crystal pendulum wheel so that the paper is in the form of a half-circle.

How to Use Your Crystal Pendulum Wheel

Next, you’ll want to ask the universe your question and work with a crystal pendulum and your wheel to receive your answer.

Like a paper fortune teller, you can get creative and tailor the possible responses to your specific question. But unlike a paper fortune teller, a crystal pendulum wheel provides you with more flexibility and clarity. By working with a pendulum wheel customized by you, you will receive additional assistance from your crystal pendulum and the universe.

There’s no one-size-fits-all design when it comes to crystal pendulum wheels. The possibilities are truly endless. My best advice is to get creative with the process and, most importantly, have fun!
