How important is it to be your community’s ritual maker/Celebrant today? Very.

Many of us are deeply concerned about the state of our world. We thought, back when we were kids, that by the time we became adults the world we live in would be a better place, not just for us, but also for future generations too. In our hearts we believed that after our struggles for human rights, civil rights and to end wars, that our elected officials would, together with us, usher in an age of prosperity, equality and joy like never before in history. As of today, we can’t say there has been a marked improvement.

But all is not lost, and here is something to think about: During this time in our collective history over the last few decades, we’ve accumulated wisdom and have become tuned-in, critically thinking, well-seasoned adults. Through experience we know that we can only put just so much faith and trust in our leaders who can’t or are unable to deliver many of their promises. The old adage rings true: “If you want something done right you have to do it yourself." Now let’s put a spin on this by saying: “Humans needs to unite with likeminded and hearted people and organizations to actively take part in nurturing our communities to help them grow."

There is truth to starting this process locally where we live, and then, as the ripple effect takes place, a tipping point can occur and finally, the momentum for our “good work” goes global.

If you're thinking... Many of us are already in the position to get involved and improve our quality of life in our communities, villages, hamlets, cities, provinces, states and pueblos. But how?

Let me tell you. It starts right here and now with you and me.

Spirituality & Health readers are the seeds for change to create a better world. And, as my dear friend Kit Turen says, “bloom where you are planted."

Many of you are also interested in well-being, health care, end of life, death and dying professionals and/or have an innate interest in helping people and being stewards of our Earth, which makes us perfectly positioned to make our collective future improve exponentially.

One sure way to step in to this mover and shaker role is to become a certified Life-Cycle Celebrant® as many S&H readers have done for over the last 18 years. They enjoy their certified Life-cycle Celebrant® profession and pro-passion and are improving the quality of life one ceremony at a time.

Marking the trials, tribulations and triumphs (the 3-T’s) in people’s lives nobly via fresh, personalized ceremonies and rituals is our ancestor’s proven formula for what we can now experience as modern joy that has been passed down for us to re-remember and make relevant and meaningful the moments in our lives today.

Personalized ceremonies honor the pivotal moments in life that make us who we are, they can create awareness, understanding and strengthen the life force both for the individual, all beings and our communities - which establishes a foundation for a healthy future for generations to come.

Becoming a certified Life-cycle Celebrant® opens up a world of new opportunities for many people’s professional practice and personal well-being, and it may just ring true for you.

Learning from The Celebrant Foundation & Institute

Ceremonies Across the Lifecycle. The Celebrant Foundation & Institute (CF&I) offers this special certificate course as part of its array of live, on-line certificate courses.

In this specific course, students are taught:

  • how to create the highest quality, personalized ceremonies to serve their community.
  • how to craft rite-of-passage ceremonies for communities, individuals, families, animals and Earth-based creatures.
  • how to design ceremonies to honor mothers, or expecting parents; to welcome children and babies and help forge new and extended families; to help young girls and boys come-of-age in this complicated world in a more grounded, responsible, inclusive or meaningful way; to create ceremonies that honor transitions (crisis); to serve our LGBTQ+ community; to reach out to women as they transition from maiden to mother to wise-woman, or men as they make their journey as the elder or wise-sage.
  • how to craft ceremonies for communities to mindfully connect to the seasons on Earth and healing.
  • how to help businesses thrive, close or merge in a constructive way, and assist professionals to establish their businesses, to pay homage to their clients and employees.

Celebrants also tend to people as they enter or leave their careers or relationships; and create personalized ceremonies for entering into a new home or to say “goodbye” when the time comes to leave one’s home, place or sanctuary. Celebrants take part in ceremonies to welcome veterans back home from war or assist people who are or have been incarcerated, are in treatment centers or suffer conditions that take them away from their home or consciousness. And Celebrants co-craft restorative and healing ceremonies and rituals to help communities honor accomplishments or acknowledge devastation and loss. Also, lets not forget that Celebrants create ceremonies to honor and remember nature, animals, working animals and pets.

Celebrant students enrolled in the CF&I certificate program are expertly taught by CF&I faculty how to have a successful career as a professional certified Life-cycle Celebrant.

You have the power to touch so many lives and CF&I can show you how. Your Celebrant teachers and the CF&I organization stays with you every step of the way. Our 1000+ CF&I alumni are part of our supportive, international Celebrant family we lovingly call our “Celebrant Tribe”.

"If we do not birth and die ritually, we will do so technologically, inscribing technocratic values in our very bones.  It matters greatly not only that we birth and die, but HOW we birth and die." — Ronald Grimes, Deeply Into the Bone
